I am a proud Cambodian-American galactic archaeologist and a PhD student at the University of California, Merced working in Prof. Sarah Loebman's lab. I graduated from California State University, Long Beach (the gorgeous coastal city where I was born & raised) in 2020 with a B.S. in physics.

My broad research interests include observation-simulation comparisons, testing novel tools in astronomy, and the chemo-dynamical evolution of the Milky Way's disk! Currently, I am being mentored by my advisor, Prof. Sarah Loebman, and Adrian Price-Whelan on quantifying how much the effects of disequilibria skew the accuracy of galactic mass inferences. In order to do this, I am implementing a method called Orbital Torus Imaging (which combines stellar chemistry and kinematics) in the Feedback in Realistic Environments (FIRE) cosmological zoom-in simulations. In my free time, I enjoy horseback archery and rock climbing!
